Why Train to Teach with us?

At Cardinal Newman ITT Hub, we are passionate about inspiring young adults to learn in an environment that fosters progress and challenges them to invest in their academic and personal futures. Our aim is to provide Teacher training at Cardinal Newman College, as a regional hub for Xavier Teach SouthEast.

Cardinal Newman ITT Hub facilitates weekly General Professional Studies and subject specific training.

We provide a unique Sixth Form experience to inspire the next generation and help to equip young people with the appropriate skills, qualifications and attributes to positively contribute to society. Trainee teachers will have secondary school experience on an ‘away placement’ of approximately 5 weeks in the summer term.

We always welcome people who want to discuss routes into teaching – we might be biased but we believe there is no better job than teaching young people and shaping the next generation! We would encourage anyone thinking of teaching to get in touch so that they can come to visit and find out more – mholland@cardinalnewman.ac.uk

All course pathways lead to the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
