Getting to Cardinal Newman College couldn’t be easier, as the College is situated within five minutes’ walk from Preston bus station and the city centre and is also within fifteen minutes’ walk from the railway station.

The college can offer discounted travel tickets on local bus services in the area. The tickets allow travel at any time, at weekends and in the college holidays. Bus passes are purchased through Wisepay.

Travel passes can be collected from the Student Advice Hub once purchased.
For students travelling on the Transdev Service 152, this will be a mobile ticket. You will be sent an email to activate your ticket. For new students, this will be to your personal email address and for current students, it will be to your college email address, you will need to download the Transdev Go app to use your ticket.
There are a variety of cycle & walking routes into Preston city centre. There is provision to store your bicycle within the College grounds near St Augustine, St Cecilia and St James Buildings. You will just need to bring your own bike lock with you.
We also have free parking available for students, but places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
