Drama and Theatre Studies

Our Drama and Theatre Studies A-Level explores the practices and theories of both classical and contemporary figures in drama. This spans from playwrights to directors and practitioners.

The course provides an understanding of diverse technical contributions by analysing performances and studying the methodologies behind scene creation and character development.

Students are encouraged to engage critically and creatively with theatre, examining the art form from the multiple viewpoints of an actor, designer, and director. It’s this approach which helps develop a rounded perspective on theatrical production and its impact.
