What is Digital Photography A-Level?

What are the Entry Requirements for Digital Photography A-Level?

To enrol in the A-Level Digital Photography course, you’ll need at least five GCSEs at grade 5 or above. This must include a grade 5 in a GCSE Art subject, such as:

  • GCSE Art
  • GCSE Fine Art
  • GCSE Art and Design
  • GCSE Photography
  • GCSE Graphics
  • GCSE Textiles
  • Distinction in BTEC Art or BTEC Art & Design

If you haven’t taken GCSE Art, you’ll be required to complete a mini-portfolio task after finishing your GCSEs in June. Note that Graphic Products is not accepted.

Have you thought about combining A-Levels with a BTEC in a Mixed Programme? Whether you’re on track to achieve five GCSEs at grade 5 or not, there could still be an opportunity to study both A-Levels and a BTEC qualification at Cardinal Newman.
